Nimra Akhtar - Litigation Paralegal
I joined Farnworth Rose in 2026 after three years working as a paralegal on personal injury and dispute matters.
I work with our litigation team supporting clients through civil disputes. That means reviewing evidence, analysing witness statements, preparing correspondence, liaising with the courts and other parties, and keeping clients updated on where their case stands. Disputes are stressful for clients and feel like work is happening ‘behind the scenes’, so a large part of my job is making sure people know what is happening and what comes next.
I enjoy litigation because no two cases are the same. Every matter has a different set of facts and a different route to a sensible outcome, and I like the investigative side of piecing that together. I also like staying with a case from the first instruction through to resolution, rather than seeing one part of it in isolation.
Before joining the firm I spent just over two years at Zenith Lawyers, supporting a senior solicitor across a broad pre-litigation caseload. That work covered medical evidence, witness statements, liability challenges, and dealing with the courts and third party insurers, including a period in the specialist noise-induced hearing loss team. I then moved to Help Me Legal, where I took client instructions, drafted wills, and handled correspondence on consumer and contractual disputes. I am currently studying for my Law degree at UCLan and going into my final year.
Outside of work I spend most of my time with family and friends. I am also a committed shopper, so if I am not working on a litigation matter there is a fair chance I am adding things to an online basket I do not need, or scrolling TikTok.
