Haighs Solicitors is now part of Farnworth Rose.
Both Yorkshire offices are open as usual, the telephone numbers have not changed, and the person handling your matter is the same person as before.
Farnworth Rose Incorporating Haighs Solicitors
From 1st August 2026, Haighs Solicitors became part of Farnworth Rose. The firm is now known as Farnworth Rose incorporating Haighs Solicitors.
The offices in Mirfield and Heckmondwike are open as usual, with the same opening hours and the same telephone numbers. Nick Haigh continues to lead the team in West Yorkshire.
If you have a matter with us, the same person is handling it and nothing about your file has changed.
A message from Nick Haigh
I am still here, and so is the rest of the team.
If I was acting for you last week, I am acting for you this week. If you send work to me, you still send it to me. The offices are open, the phones are answered by the same people, and the way we look after you does not change.
What has changed is what sits behind us. We now have a bigger team, more support and a wider range of services to call on. That means fewer occasions when I have to tell someone we cannot help, and more time for the work that matters.
If you have any question at all about what this means for you, ring the office and ask for me.
Nick Haigh, Principal Solicitor
What is NOT changing
The person handling your matter. You continue to deal with the same file handler, from first instruction through to completion.
Both offices. Mirfield and Heckmondwike are open as usual and we have no plans to change that.
Telephone numbers. Office numbers and direct dials are unchanged.
The people answering the phone. The same reception team in each office.
Opening hours. Unchanged.
Post. Still received and dealt with at the Yorkshire offices.
Signing and dropping off documents. Same office, same process.
Wills and deeds we store for you. Still held exactly where they were
Quotes already given. Honoured as quoted.
What IS changing
The name on your paperwork. From 3rd August 2026, letters, emails and client care documents are in the name Farnworth Rose incorporating Haighs Solicitors.
Email addresses. From 3rd August 2026 our email addresses move to farnworthrose.co.uk. Messages sent to Haighs addresses still reach us and those addresses are not being closed, so anything already in your address book continues to work. You may receive replies from the new address.
New matters. Any new matter opened from 3rd August 2026 is set up on Farnworth Rose systems. Matters already open are not affected.
Client account details. Our client account details are changing. Anyone affected has been written to separately. Please read the section below before making any payment.
To speak directly to a specialist lawyer, call our Mirfield office on 01924 489197.
Keeping your money safe
Our email addresses and our client account details are changing at the same time. This is normal for when two law firms merge in scenarios like this as it's part of industry requirements.
However, please take a moment to read this before sending money to anyone and if in doubt please call our offices on 01924 489197 or 01924 403809.
We will never ask you to change payment details by email.
If you receive anything that appears to come from us asking you to send money to a new or different account, do not act on it.
Telephone the office and ask to speak to the person handling your matter. Use a number from this page or 01924 489197 or 01924 403809.
If you are ever unsure whether something is really from us, ring us. We would always rather take the call.
Why Haighs and Farnworth Rose have joined forces
Nick Haigh explains the thinking:
“Haighs was already doing well. The limit on growing further was that one person was running the business side of the firm alongside a full caseload. Joining Farnworth Rose means that the business side of things is handled centrally, by people whose job it is.
For clients and for the people who refer work to us, the practical effect is more time on legal work and fewer occasions when we have to turn something away.”
What this adds for you
Farnworth Rose was established in 2007 by Janet Lalor and Richard Farnworth, and is based on the Nelson and Burnley border in Lancashire, with a further office in Salford. What that means in practice for clients and contacts in West Yorkshire:
More capacity in residential and commercial property, so less work turned away and fewer delays caused by volume.
A wider range of services. Family and matrimonial law, wills and probate, litigation and dispute resolution, and commercial and corporate work are all now available through the Yorkshire offices.
Central support for marketing, administration and operations, so the lawyers here spend their time on client work.
The dedicated file handler model. The person assigned to your matter does the work and stays your point of contact throughout.
Farnworth Rose holds more than 450 five star reviews. Most of the firm's new work still comes from repeat clients and personal referrals, which is the same way Haighs has been built.
