Thank you for helping Pendleside Hospice with £1,761 of Golf Day Donations

It was cold. It was wet. It was windy. But it was still a whole load of fun as a dozen teams came together at the 2026 Farnworth Rose Golf Day in aid of Pendleside Hospice.

As is often the way with these things, the weather was great either side of the event itself but on the afternoon of Friday 18th September, the weather certainly didn’t play ball.

However, it didn’t stop the players who generally agreed it was “still good to be out” and it was “all for a good cause.”

I think the warming pie, chips peas and gravy and a couple of warming ales from the Nelson Golf Club bar helped smooth things over.

After weeks of gathering prizes, organising the running order and collecting admission donations, Carole and Janet could put their feet up at the end of the day having raised a fantastic £1,761.

This was thanks to all the companies who took part, including co-sponsors Solarsport, and entrant teams from: Rob Wyke and Fairstone, Toby Uttley-Muldoon of SJPP, The White Swan at Fence, GB Integrated Systems, Tom Noonan, Parker Plumbing & Heating, Chris Blackadder, Roxor, and Emchia Asbestos Ltd.
