That’s why we’ve spent the past seven years (and counting) partnered with Cancer Research UK to provide a simple, professional Will-writing service totally free of charge to you. So far, this has helped almost 300 people tick off a vital job from their to-do list and helped contribute £1.28M to fighting cancer at the same time.

We recently welcomed Helen Soutar from Cancer Research UK to our offices to reflect on what this partnership has achieved. The figures are a testament to the generosity of our clients and the dedication of our Wills and Probate team.

Over the last seven years, Farnworth Rose has supported 285 people in planning for their future through this scheme. Through what Helen describes as "compassionate and expert guidance," our clients have pledged an extraordinary £1.28 million in gifts in Wills to the charity.

Helen noted that this level of support is "truly transformational," as gifts in Wills fund more than a third of all Cancer Research UK research every year.

How the Free Will Service Works

Planning for the future can feel like a daunting task, but we are here to make the process as warm and straightforward as possible.

Under our agreement with CRUK, anyone can visit Farnworth Rose to have a simple Will drafted free of charge, regardless of their current state of health. In return, we and CRUK simply ask that you consider including a donation to the charity within your Will.

There is no obligation to leave a gift, but by doing so, you are helping to move us closer to a world where everyone can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
