Farnworth Rose donate £280 to the RunAway Challenge

By

Farnworth Rose are delighted to have supported Scott Cunliffe’s RunAway Challenge by donating £10 for every Will drafted in December and January.

The RunAway Challenge sees Scott attempting to complete 19 ultra-marathons from Turf Moor, Burnley to 19 Premier League stadiums during the 2018/19 season. He has now completed 13 runs covering more than 2000 miles.

All of the money raised will be donated to community-based charities that offer innovative activities to improve the mental and physical health of disadvantaged people.

In addition to donating to the RunAway Challenge for every Will drafted, Farnworth Rose sponsored the eighth leg of Scott’s journey as he ran from Turf Moor to Selhurst Park in London. You can read Scott’s thoughts on the run here.

Scott commented: “The long run to Crystal Palace was one of the toughest so far. It was a real mental battle to keep motivated and I only just made it to the game on time.

“Fortunately, I had more than 20 runners join me on a recent run to Manchester United in snowy conditions.

“Without the support of other runners and local businesses like Farnworth Rose it would be impossible to take this dream to become a reality.”

Scott’s efforts have now seen him raise more than £10,000 during the challenge, with five runs still remaining in the season.

Richard Farnworth, Director at Farnworth Rose Solicitors commented:

“When we heard about Scott’s ambitious plans we were keen to support him by sponsoring his run to Crystal Palace. We are now pleased to make a donation to this fantastic cause.

“We have continued to follow Scott’s progress and we are delighted to see him pass £10,000 raised in much needed funds for charity.

“Everyone at Farnworth Rose would like to wish the Scott the very best of luck for the remainder of the RunAway Challenge.”
